The Asian symbol of balance, the yin yang design is carved on our red cinnabar disc pendant. Strung from a necklace of contrasting neutral bone and glass beads in shades of ivory, brown, and beige. Note: True cinnabar has not been used to make jewelry for years, since it is a toxic mercuric sulfide. Today, "cinnabar" beads are made of layers of lacquer, then hand- or machine-carved.
